Working with the Angus Watt Advisory Group We have structured our Edmonton Group of specialists to maximize the amount of time we have to follow markets, evaluate products, monitor your portfolio and make recommendations. Angus Jan & Jane are your lead monitors of your portfolios. Our administrative team looks after the operational part of the business. The administrative part of the team is available to handle all of the daily paper flow, ensuring all transactions are properly processed and the scheduling of our appointments. They will handle all of your requests regarding the transferring of funds, cheques to be issued or information on your account statements. You can find their phone numbers on the Contact Us page. Welcome Kit Shortly after opening your account you will receive a “Welcome Kit” consisting of a number of documents and brochures that describe certain aspects of your relationship with us at National Bank Financial. Most of this documentation is for information purposes only. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us to review them with you. Portfolio Reporting – Head Office Statements You will receive a month end statement for every month in which a transaction was made in one of your accounts. When no transactions are made the statements will be sent quarterly in March, June, September and December. Once you have received your first statement you may want to review the format with us. One of our team members would be pleased to go over this with you.
Portfolio Reporting – Online Services If you would like to follow your portfolio online, National Bank Financial’s secure website offers you access to your accounts from anywhere in the world at any time via the internet. Online service also gives you access to a wealth of material from our Research Department. To sign up for Online service you can simply ask us to provide your access ID and password or for security purposes you can call Website Technical Support at 1-888-751-1220 to obtain this information directly. Portfolio Reporting – Customized Month End We will provide you with your customized month end statement by the 10th of each month. These reports have been customized over time with the help of our clients. They will give you an initial overview of your accounts, detailed analysis of the cash flow, purchase & sales with profit and loss for your tax purposes. Research and Economic Updates National Bank Financial has one of the top-ranked Research and Economic teams in Canada as well as being partnered with Credit Suisse – one of the world’s largest financial institutions for Global Research. All of these reports are available for you to receive by e-mail. Face to Face Meetings We will be contacting you to set up your face to face meetings, at the frequency you decided on in your initial meeting. These meetings are to review the previous performance and look forward to the next time frame. It will also give us a chance to review any changes in your life and evaluate any changes that need to be made to your plan. We would expect that these meetings would last an hour. Telephone Meetings We will be contacting you to set up your phone meetings at the frequency you decided in your initial meeting. We will send you a package before the actual phone meeting with your portfolios and performance as well as any other information we feel needs discussed. These meetings will probably take no longer than half an hour. This would be a great time for you to have a list of questions ready that you would like answered or explained. Quarterly Newsletters We will also be sending you a quarterly newsletter, which will cover a variety of topics. If there is a subject, which we have brought up in the newsletter that you would want additional information on, please do not hesitate to give us a call. If, on the other hand, you receive the newsletter and decide that you do not wish to receive this please let us know and we will have you removed from the list. Contact by Telephone or E-Mail The choice will be yours on how you would prefer to communicate with us. If you are more comfortable using e-mail and find it more efficient please just let us know. If you would prefer that we contact you by phone, we would be pleased to use that method of communication also. Please be aware that we cannot accept trade orders by e-mail or by voice mail. Questions? If there is a question you have at any time please feel free to call our main line, which is always answered during business hours.
