Upon graduating from York University with a degree in Political Science, Angus immediately entered the investment industry where he developed an expertise in wealth management, retirement planning and asset allocation. Currently, he is Managing Director, Individual Investor Services, National Bank Financial, and mentor of the Angus Watt Advisory Group. As a past recipient of the Investment Dealers Association ‘Program of Distinction Award’ for the Prairie Region, his ability to understand a client’s philosophies and objectives provides our clientele with a sense of financial comfort and ensures they are well-positioned to endure market changes.
His keen eye for big-picture thinking when it comes to a client’s financial future accentuates a visionary talent. Having a desire to share his experience and knowledge, Angus broadcasts over 55 times per week on Global TV Edmonton and 630 CHED. He has become a trusted source of information as well as a welcomed face in times of market confusion and uncertainty.
Angus is Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Honorary Lieutenant Colonel of the South Alberta Light Horse regiment, and Member, The Senate of the University of Alberta. Angus is currently Treasurer, The Lieutenant Governor’s Circle on Mental Health Foundation, Co-Chair, University of Alberta Senate Student Mental Health Endowment, Co-Chair, University of Alberta Chancellor’s Cup 2016. He is past Chair, Alberta Order of Excellence Council, and former Board Member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada. He also serves as an advisor to Little Warriors and The Hearing Foundation of Canada.
He is the past recipient of the “Paul Harris Fellow”, awarded by the Rotary Club of Canada. In 2012, Angus received The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Jane has worked with Angus Watt since 1980, and has been with National Bank Financial since 1982. She became a partner of the Angus Watt Advisory Group in 2006.
Jane is an expert in North American income products ranging from overnight money to long-term securities. Providing leadership and lending her knowledge of options strategies, wealth management, retirement planning and asset allocation, she offers experience that ensures clients are comfortable with their investments and decisions.

Jan joined the Angus Watt Advisory Group in 2002, bringing with her over 25 years of experience in accounting, personal tax, insurance and wealth management. She became a partner of the Angus Watt Advisory Group in 2006.
She obtained her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2009. Jan ensures that clients have a plan that is customized to their needs, comforts and goals.

As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a Registered Financial Planner (RFP), a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA), Dawn has the skill and the know-how to provide solutions in virtually all facets of the financial planning world.

Operations & Business Development
With over 15 years of experience in the investment industry, Angela joined the Angus Watt Advisory Group in 2007 and brought many talents that promote and enhance the team’s reputation for excellence. Angela guides and manages the overall operations of the Advisory Group. Day-to-day administration, human resources, business processes, client development, and compliance all fall under her care. She is also responsible for coordinating business and marketing plans, organizing special events and client functions.
Implementing the policies and procedures of National Bank Financial and the Advisory Group, Angela ensures that the team works hard to share their knowledge and experience with fellow associates making the atmosphere one of efficiency and dedication to meeting clients’ needs.

Jill joined the Angus Watt Advisory Group in 2005 with over 12 years of experience in the investment industry.
She provides the group with trading, client administration and personalized client account coverage. With exceptional and trusted accuracy she is responsible for all trade orders from both clients and our Group’s Advisors. Acting as a liaison with our Montreal bond and equity trading desks, Jill’s attention to detail ensures that orders are processed with precision and attentiveness. Her focus and service-driven approach emphasizes the Advisory Group’s goal of enhancing the overall client experience.

Kelsey Kelemen, CFA
Kelsey joined the Angus Watt Advisory Group in January of 2013 bringing with him a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
As an Investment Advisor, he draws on his analytical background and works alongside fellow associates and Partners to manage all aspects of the client relationship, which includes monitoring accounts, regular review of investments and strategies, and staying informed of economic events in the market. Kelsey strives to provide a customized approach that allows clients to feel at ease when discussing their wealth management needs, goals and objectives.

After finding success as a semi-professional hockey player and fulfilling his dream of playing for Team Canada, Jim made the decision to embark on a new career. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours Business Administration) from the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor and joined the Angus Watt Advisory Group in 2012.
As an Investment Advisor, he works closely with fellow associates and Partners to manage all aspects of the client relationship, which includes monitoring accounts, regular review of investments and strategies, and staying informed of economic events in the market. Jim strives to provide a customized approach when discussing wealth management needs, goals and objectives with clients.

After graduating from NAIT with a Bachelor of Applied Business Administration – Finance, Eli joined National Bank Financial in 2011. In 2013, Eli became a member of the Angus Watt Advisory Group, bringing with him a multitude of talents in the area of business logistics and client service. He is responsible for the coordination of our new issue business and provides the group with account administration and trading coverage.
His knowledge of the industry allows him the opportunity to assist the Advisory Group with day-to-day business logistics and he ensures that our clients receive direct and timely service.

Gavin joined the Angus Watt Advisory Group in 2014 and plays an important role in the administration and organization of our account management system. He provides support to our Investment Advisors ensuring that proper tools are made available and procedures are followed. This allows both client and Advisor to experience productive and positive meetings.
Gavin is working to complete his CSC certification in order to increase his knowledge of the industry. He is looking forward to assisting in educating our clients about their investments upon receiving his IIROC license. After studying Marketing and Finance at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Geoff turned his focus to the Insurance industry where he gained experience and a devotion to the industry’s challenging nature. Geoff has been with NBF Financial Services since 1997, and in 2006, he became a partner of the Angus Watt Advisory Group.
He has extensive knowledge of risk management, corporate/personal planning, employee benefits and compensation programs. Geoff practices in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. As Benefits & Planning Director, he and the other advisory members analyze, strategize, negotiate, implement, and communicate group benefit and investment programs that make a difference.
Working with organizations to review, design and implement corporate employee benefits, Geoff strives to provide clarity to the process and program so that it is easily understood by recipients.

Barb, a University of Alberta graduate, joined the Benefits & Planning Division of the Angus Watt Advisory Group in 2004 bringing with her a background in small business, business development and an expertise in project management. Barb practices in the province of Alberta and has her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation.
Developing a clear understanding of a group client’s benefit philosophy enables Barb to arrive at well-suited recommendations relating to plan design, cost-benefit analysis, marketing, and plan implementation. With a goal of creating and further developing an interactive partnership, Barb’s “on-it” approach ensures that clients receive the best level of service available.

Benefits & Planning Specialist
Alysha became part of the Angus Watt Advisory Group in 2006 after receiving her diploma from Grant MacEwan College in Business Management. Alysha practices in the province of Alberta and has her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation.
Alysha deals with group benefit programs, client communication, and Group Savings and Retirement programs. By developing a clear understanding of a group client’s benefit philosophy, Alysha is able to provide recommendations relating to plan design, cost-benefit analysis, marketing, and plan implementation.
A driven and detail oriented individual, she assists with the design and implementation of competitive benefit programs for clients.

Benefits & Planning Specialist
Kristin has been with National Bank Financial since 2008 and joined the Angus Watt Advisory Group in September 2009. In 2010, ready for a new direction and challenge, she moved to the Benefits & Planning Division and began assisting with individual coverage, group benefits coverage, client relations and administrative matters. Kristin practices in the province of Alberta and is working toward her Group Benefits Associates (GBA) designation.
Kristin assists with the review, design and implementation of benefits programs. Her attention to detail is valued by clients with whom she works to ensure their program is operating successfully.
